At the heart of Baytu Sakeenah’s mission is education. We believe knowledge is the key to unlocking a child's potential. The kids in the home are initially home schooled so they can unlearn, relearn and become ambassadors of Baytu Sakeenah. They are then enrolled in a standard school setting. Some of the kids attend Taqwa private School while some attend Daru-Naim Schools. Our dedicated teachers ensure a well- rounded curriculum, tailored to each child's needs, promoting intellectual growth and curiosity. They aim not only to educate but to instill a love for learning that will accompany them throughout life.

About Baytu Sakeenah

Baytul Sakeenah Orphanage Home was born out of the need to provide a safe haven from vulnerable Muslim youth and orphanage. The decision to establish this orphanage was reached when we found out that Bab-el-Salaam (the only Muslim orphanage in Lagos) could not accommodate all the genuinely verified vulnerable children that were referred to it; owing to limited space and facilities.

The question which remains unanswered is: What is the fate of these vulnerable Muslim youths? We decided to establish another Muslim Orphanage Home to nurture the wellbeing of Muslim Orphans and the vulnerable children. The Foundation is duly registered with CAC. Alhamdulillah Robbil Aalameen, we have been able to acquire four plots of land in Epe for our permanent site; two of these plots were generously donated by one of our Sisters.

Considering the required cash outlay to get the orphanage off the ground and the urgency required to address the identified gap, another Sister within the group graciously offered us the use of her four-bedroom bungalow at the heart of Lagos specifically 16b harmony drive in Harmony Estate at Ogba to get the orphanage started while we build the permanent site in Epe in the nearest future. In shaa Allah, our plan is to formally launch Baytu Sakeenah Home in August, 2021. However, we still have a lot to do to ensure a smooth takeoff and running of the Home.

Our motivation was driven by the hadith of Our noble Prophet SAW the Prophet (saw) which says, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this, “and he (SAW) held his two fingers together to illustrate’. [Bukhari]
